Hummingbirds

Ruby-throated hummingbird

3/22/06  Notice to Hummingbirds: The migration map tells me any day you could be here. Your feeder's full. The forsythia, redbuds, helebores, violets, violas, pansies, quince, and candytuft await you. I bought an oxalis dripping with flowers. The cyclamen are still blooming. I found a small clump of spring beauty down by the pool house. There must be plenty in the wild to feed you on your way.  Yellow trout lily, Dutchman's breeches, toadshade trillium, are blooming in Warner Park. Wild azalea, columbine, spice bush, hepatica bloom early and bloodroot too. My neighbor's pink saucer magnolia, creeping phlox  and peach is beautiful now.  Our ornamental flowering peach has just started to bloom also. We eagerly await your arrival here in Burns, Tennessee, to once again enjoy your glorious presence.
