June 2006 "Let your life lightly dance on the edges of time like dew on the tip of a leaf."
2005 "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life." 2004 Where'er you walk cool gales shall fan the glade, By this time of year, I've forgotten about azaleas in my steamy part of the country until I ran across Don Hyatt's site on the web, that is. June is the time to head out to the mountains where the wild azaleas grow. 2003 I love to come home to my garden where cool shade tempers the hottest delta days of summer. Here, grass green fountains of ferns wash over my mind and spirit. Birds fill the air with music. Squirrel antics add humor. Various herbs offer delectable scent, flavor, and tactile amusement. Flowers exude their fragrance. Soft, gentle breezes envelope a lazy recline on a chaise lounge where one can contemplate fathomless sky blue. Rare glimpses of beauty abound...glistening dew, iridescent feathers... Sparkling sunlight dances on the leaves revealing endless color, texture, and form. Volunteer sprouts, unfurling buds, and maturing fruits create a sense of expectancy as water (dripping, splashing, spurting) effervesces life. Fireflies flashing in the twilight tranquilize the evening. Stars ignite the night and my imagination. And, my soul rejoices.
